Franklin Park Fire Company

Mission Statement

 Our purpose is for the Protection of Life and Property from Fire and Similar disasters. We primarily serve District 2, in the south side of the 47 square mile Township of  Franklin. However we often help out neighboring towns when we receive requests for mutual aid.

   


 

Open House 2016

Sunday, October 9, 2016   Sunday October 9th is our annual open house. We're inviting everyone to come and look at the Fire Trucks and learn about fire safety during Fire Prevention Week.

Car Fire

Sunday, August 30, 2015   At 0314hrs, Station 31 along with Station 35 were dispatched to Canal Rd. and Butler Rd. for a car fire secondary to an accident. Squad 31 and Tanker 35 responded. Crews arrived and found a fully involved car that struck a tree. Crews extinguished the gas fed fire and stood-by until the vehicle was removed. 

     



 

RIC Assignment in District 1

Wednesday, August 19, 2015  At 1820hrs, Station 31 was requested into District 1 for a RIC assignment. Truck 31 responded. Truck 31 was cleared a short time after arrival and responded to another call. Good stop by District 1 companies. 

   


 

R.I.C. into District 1

Monday, August 10, 2015   At 0925hrs, while operating on another call. Station 31 was dispatched into District 1 requesting a RIC team for a smoke condition in a hotel on Ceder Grove Ln. Engine 31 responded and arrived 2nd due. Crew from Engine 31 assisted District 1 crew with venting the first floor of the structure due to a dryer fire. Engine 31 cleared and returned to District a short time after. 

   


 

Mutual Aid Warehouse Fire

Wednesday, July 22, 2015   At 0225hrs, Station 31 was requested to respond into North Brunswick to Stand-by at Company 3. Prior to going in service Station 31 was upgraded to the scene due to a fire in a warehouse. While putting Engine 31 in service, Command requested that Truck 31 respond as well. Engine 31 and Truck 31 responded to 1600 Livingston Ave. On Arrival 31 units were advised to set up on the D side of the building and go into master stream operations. Due to water supply issues Truck 31 and Engine 31 couldn't set up on that side of the building. Command reassigned both units into North Brunswick Manor and to hit the C side of the building from there. Engine 31 supplied Truck 31 with water for more then 12hrs. Crews faced heavy smoke due to being down wind of the fire. Engine 31 and Truck 31 cleared after 16hrs of fighting the fire. 

     



 

Wood Burning Stove

Friday, July 10, 2015   At 0818hrs, District 2 companies were dispatched to a report of an open burn. Companies arrived and found that the resident had a wood burning stove in a barn that was out of control. Crews extinguished the fire with a hand line and turned the scene over to Fire Prevention. 

   


 

Mutual Aid into North Brunswick

Tuesday, June 23, 2015   At 0708hrs, Station 31 was dispatched to cover North Brunswick while the operated on a Hazmat Call on Rt. 1. Engine 31 responded to Company 3 on Cozzens Ln. While En-route Engine 31 got dispatched to a call in North Brunswick for a Gas Leak. Engine 31 covered North Brunswick for 6 1/2 hours and took 4 cover assignment calls. 

   


 

Car Fire

Tuesday, June 23, 2015   At. 0210hrs, Station 31 was dispatched to Amethyst Way and South Middlebush Rd. for smoke coming from a vehicle. Engine 31 responded and found a pickup truck with smoke coming out of the windows. Crews forced entry after seeing if car was unlocked and found a fire in the passenger compartment. Crews knocked down the fire and cleared without incident.
